The basis of using hypnosis is to help you change your eating habits by reducing the triggers that make you eat. Many times we eat because of emotional reasons and not necessarily to take care of hunger pangs. Instead, we eat to celebrate when we’ve achieved a goal, to help feel better after a sad or emotional situation or to fill an emotional void in our lives.
While hypnosis is close to a natural answer to changing your behaviors, there can be side effects and there are no guarantees. It’s important to find a responsible hypnotist who has had experience working with people who want to lose weight and can provide references. Evaluate your own results through the process and work with your hypnotist. In other words, don’t rely on the hypnosis to change your behavior without any effort on your part.
Your weight loss will be achieved through changing your diet and getting exercise. However, hypnosis can help you to make the lifestyle changes you need to make more easily. Hypnosis does not increase your metabolism, reduce your discomfort during exercise or make broccoli taste like chocolate. It will improve your will power and your ability to say no to the donuts in the breakroom and yes to the walk at lunch.
