Best Diet to Burn Fat

download (13)There isn’t one single diet that is the best for burning fat in your body because there are actually four different types of fat. Not every type of fat responds the same to each different nutritional plan.

You have brown fat, white fat, subcutaneous fat and visceral fat. White fat is the most common type of fat that you might be familiar with. It can make up as much as 20% of the body weight in men and 25% in women. It’s used to store energy.

It was recently discovered that brown fat is not the worthless fat once thought. It can burn more calories than white fat and is found in higher amounts in people who are slender. Subcutaneous fat is directly below the skin and what dietitians measure with skin calipers to estimate the total amount of fat in the body. Visceral fat is found in the abdominal cavity wrapped around the organs. It is deposited with an increase in secretion of cortisol and secretes hormones that can trigger insulin resistance in the body (one type of diabetes).

So, there isn’t just one type of diet that will effectively burn all different types of fat.

However, there are foods that will boost your metabolism and cause you to burn more calories. Combined with a lower calorie diet, it forces your body to burn fat for fuel, thus reducing your overall amount of fat in the body.

1. Fat: The type of fat you eat is incredibly important! Your body needs fat to fuel your brain and muscles and monounsaturated is the best kind.

2. Nuts with their skins intact. They are a great source of protein, low in carbohydrates and will reduce your cravings. However, they are also high in calories so don’t use them to snack without thinking!images (3)

8. Lean Meat: You are going to eat meat anyway, let’s eat lean meat. Animal fat will not help you to burn fat and only adds unwanted calories to your meal.

9. Hot Peppers: Capsaicin gives your peppers their kick, and used topically can help reduce arthritic pain. Included in your meals, it will help jump start your metabolism.
